Description of a English Coonhound.
English coonhounds are scent hounds descended from the foxhound. Most are spotted with splotches of brown. They are not very well-known. Most have extremely vocal tendencies; this is a trait they were bred for. Treeing raccoons, then barking so the owner could find and shoot the coon, was their function. They are very afectionate to their owner. It is quiet easy to train these lovable dogs.
